FIDDLE PRIZES and trophies

Playing in a fiddle championship has its rewards. First there is the preparation before the contest. Learning to play three tunes perfectly takes practice, skill and determination. At the contest there is lots of fun playing with different people, jamming from morning until night. Another reward is getting on stage. For some, it is a tough reward but satisfying. Finally the rewards talked about the most, and for some means no more than the others, are the prize money and trophies. Prize money and a trophy are awarded to the top three players in each division except for the Grand Champion Division, which has five places and the Novice Division who are awarded trophies.
